AU-20K F-2512 3 LEGGED ELECTROLYTIC CAPS?

Hello all,
After having a covid-hiatus, Being back to work full time is really cutting in on my au20k project.
i spent most of that time just dismantling, labeling,identifying/ ordering parts, etc for this monster.
My question of the day concerns the F-2512 connector circuit board electrolytic caps, C01, C02.
i ordered everything from PartsConnexion.(which btw are fantastic. My first order, great attention to detail)
Went w/ Nichicon FG 470uF, 100v.
Upon removing the original BULGING (after 45 years, i'd bulge too.) Nippon chemi-con's..................
3 legs! never expected that. so i have come to understand these were used many moons ago.
so, i am a little perplexed, can i use my 2-legged Nichicons ?, and if so, how do I install for correct polarity?

A is the positive connection.

B plays no role other than supporting the capacitor physically - it plays no electrical role.

The terminal with the black dot on the base of the capacitor is negative (as noted by the 'negative black' writing on the capacitor sleeve).

The PCB is also helpful in this regard - the silk screening shows where the capacitor positive and negative terminals are connected.

I don't think you want to use fine gold caps for those..UPW is more suitable..they have a longer lifespan in hours ..you can probably up the voltage as well due to the smaller size of the replacements

Pete, thank you for your “Exactly what I needed” Reply.
I looked around before I asked here, kept seeing conflicting views like, it’s a dual capacitor in one, they don’t make them anymore, blah, blah, blah.
With this rebuild, the thought back in my mind is-there’s one service manual & multiple versions,
Thanks again,
Joe
