AU 417 help

I have chance to pick up a Sansui TU417 and AU417 for cheap. The guy is basically asking for me to pay for the tuner and is throwing the amp in for free as he states the amp has an intermittent loss of audio on one channel. Well, I went to audition them and he turned the AU417on, the power/protection light just blinks. It never stopped and therefore I was not able to audition.

Is this issue something that could be easily fixed?

Easy? depends on your skill set. Replacing fuse or deoxit wont fix it. Search on sansui glue would be a start, it corrodes resistors and transistors it comes in contact with.
 
It could be many things but the first thing to check would be DC offset adjustment, if you do a search for that in these forums.
 
You will need a multimeter, the schematic and service manual, and a knowledge of electronics...
 
Decided to pass on it although it is a hell of a deal. I have to many projects as it is and don't need another to distract me.. Thx for all the input!
