AU-717 rebuild recommendations

Good Afternoon.

I am looking for recommendations on a rebuild/restore service for my AU-717 amp. I bought this system when I was in the Air Force back in the late 70’s. I did a short tour in Korea and like a lot of other service guys back then, we all got big stereos for our rooms. I picked up the 717 with the matching SE-717 EQ and got a Pioneer PL-518 basic turntable. Didn’t make sense to get a receiver because there were no FM stations in-country at the time. I later added a Nikko NT-790 tuner because I couldn’t afford a TU-717 at the time. (wouldn’t mind adding one now) Its been out of service for many years and needs some love.

I had it serviced about 15 years ago for one of the power transistors that went bad. It powers up normally with the protection circuit blinking for several seconds before the relay clicks on solid red. The volume attenuator is a bit stiff and I’m only getting one channel now. I would like to have it fully re-capped and serviced.

I’m on a waiting list with the guys at QRXRestore.com for the full service. They seem highly recommended and have a waiting list which is no big deal for me. I see other restore services listed on E-Bay and have seen LeeStereo posts here and at other places. What are your recommendations for having this fine piece of vintage equipment restored?
