AU-9500 or 9090 DB?

I have a very nice AU-9500 that works flawlessly. I also have a 9090 DB with a blown left channel and other issues. I can't use them both so would it be foolish for me to spend the $$$ to fix the 9090 in hopes it would replace the 9500? Keeping in mind having a tuner is not an issue with me. Also, any good Sansui repair guys in NoCal, So. Oregon etc.?

I would appreciate any input from those that have had or heard both.

If you were going to restore one, put your money into the 9500 and sell the 9090db. Way better built and has potential to be great.

Why sell? Keep the receiver as a backup, get it fixed at your leisure and rotate between them on occasion.

Very good point. I may want to have some work to the 9500 and sell the 9090to help with the cost. The 9500 does everything I want it to do well but I know it can be better with some qualified help. I have a couple of back-up receivers for emergencies, a nice G-4500 and a JVC 4VR-5456X quad.
