Audio-based metaphors and put downs

Every interest community has its own unique language and, eventually, deploys that language to describe the world outside. We also use it for darker purposes, such as throwing shade. Here is a place for metaphors, insults, and put downs whose sweetness and sting only a true audio lover can feel.

I'll start with a few:
