Anyone know anything about this power amp? Supposed to be able to run several pairs of speakers in parallel and stable to .5 ohms. Would this be an indication of a high current amp and would it be suitable for home audio use?

Specs: 2 Channel Power Amplifier 60 Watts Per Channel @ 8 Ohms 150 Watts Per Channel @ 4 Ohms 240 Watts Per Channel @ 2 Ohms 0.5 Ohm Minimum Safe Impedance 0.03% Total Harmonic Distortion @ 8 Ohms 2U Fan Cooled Chassis Torroidal Power Transformer 600 Watts Maximum Power Consumption

I don't know anything beyond what was posted, but I think it's fair to say that an amp that delivers quadruple the power into 2 ohms as it does into 8 ohms is a high current amp.

What I can't understand is the 4 ohm power rating, which interpolation suggests should be 120WPC - typo?

Comments on suitability for home use will have to come from someone else, but my guess is the only potential issue is fan noise.

Yeah I thought maybe that was a typo too. The fan is actually pretty quiet. I guess they sold back in the 90s for a retail price of $1750 which would have been a pretty decent amount of money back then.
