Audio Nirvana Super AlNiCo: w/ or wo crossover?

Crossover and tweeter with Audio Nirvana Super 10?

I purchased a pair of Audio Nirvana AlNiCo Super 10s to replace my existing Eminence drivers in my Tekton Design Lore. Currently, I just have them hooked up in the same way as my Eminence were, whitch crosses over to a tweeter at around 4kHz. David Dicks suggested from the onset to bypass the crossover, but I have heard that relieving full rangers from high frequencies enable them to perform better across the lower frequencies.

So my question for those of you who have Audio Nirvana drivers (or even other full range drivers...) in an enclosure - do you prefer to have a crossover and tweeter or no?

Zu Audio (Druid) uses a "crossover" (a single capacitor) but the crossover point is significantly higher, effectively making it a "super tweeter." This produces a rather nice result. I wouldn't want a crossover anywhere near 4,000hZ region, that effectively negates the main driver being a "full ranger."

Poor man's Lowther if you can tame the beast. I would by more AN's. As a matter of fact I'm in the middle of building another pair of speakers and plan on rolling FR drivers. You can change out the resistor to alter sound to your taste in the pictured filter.

I could be wrong about the crossover frequency. I've only come across two posts on the internet, and both were guesses. One said it looked like it could be 4-5khz, where as the other one thought it was at 6-8khz. I believe Zu's is also around 8khz. Still interested in opinions on whether to crossover, filter, or just let it go the full range without a tweeter.
 
My Zu Omens used a very basic crossover between it's 10" Eminence Legend FR and it's super tweeter. That "afterthought" of a super tweeter came in so high I could barely/rarely hear it even with my ear pressed against it.

Rather than a 2 way it would be best described as a 1 1/2 way. Guess it makes good marketing sense though to use a super tweeter with a wide band driver as most folks I suspect aren't willing to spend that kind of money on single driver speakers.
