Audio Quality Via Speakers

I have a Sansui Seven I bought new 1973. The audio output has gone to pot but only through the speakers. Headphones work fine. This happened once years ago. Then I replaced a fuse on the back and it was fine. I checked the fuses with an ohm meter and they all pass current. Anybody have any ideas on what's going on? Thanks in advance!

Could be the crossovers in the speakers need attention. What speakers are you using???
DeOxit all of the controls on Front. (If it goes Round and Round, In-OUT, or Up and Down, it gets DeOxit.) Any controls on the back get the same. Clean the fuse holders and fuses with DeOxit and a nylon scrubbie. Make them shiny metal. Make sure the fuse clips are tight against the fuses (crimp them a bit).
