Bought a wide screen TV and now must build a new audio / tv rack. Brhind one of my speakers I was planing on building a stand that could store records as well as a place for my turntable. I was planning on the Flexy table with 4 legs. The material Iwas planning on using are MDF, threaded rod, electrical condut around the rod and the appropate hardware. Has anybody built any racks using the Flexy plans and do you have any pictures?

I made one last year using 3/4" threadrod and 3/4" plywood (i can't stand the look of MDF. It's a fairly easy project that could be expanded into a four rod system for a tv with a tv figure on a minimum of two shelves (though I think 3 would be better) as you add shelves the rigidity will increase. mine are 4 foot threadrod and for a decent sized tv you would probably need to go to 5 foot which would put just the thread rod at $60 or more. Also they would have to be bought and custom cut at a wholesale nut and bolt distributor as home depot or lowes only sells in 3 foot lengths

Thanks for the reply KBOTT. Your sand looks good. I'm not to crazy about MDF either but you can't beat the cost savings. I'm thinking about spaying it down with Rust-O-limn Stone and use crackle paint on the conduit.
