I've had my LP-1240 for about 4 or 5 years and it's been just fine until recently. After not using it for a couple of months, I noticed that most of the buttons have a tacky/sticky feel to them, as if someone spilled a sugary drink on them (which hasn't happen). They have the tactile of an old computer mouse that's rubbery sides have gone sticky. I've scoured the internet but haven't found any examples of this happening to anyone else. Could a build up of heat from the hardware after use gotten trapped under the dust cover and done this? The unit isn't in direct sunlight.
