Audiogon/HD Tracks Wake Up Your Ears Sampler

[elcoholic]

Anybody else get this? I downloaded it last night and am enjoying it today at work in 96/24 AIFF. $0.33 a track for 15 tracks of excellent music. Stupid cheap good deal. No affiliation of course.

This came up last year and I posted about it:

They're now offering it up again. Good deal!

I bought both the 16/44 and the 24/192 versions. I wanted to see if I could hear any difference. I truly believe 24 bit recordings sound better because the engineers/producers did a better job of mastering, not necessarily due to the higher bit/sample rate.

Personally, in a blind test, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Your mileage may vary!

I've been buying a few of these down loads but keeping it to 96/24 because that's the limit of my sound card and am testing my interest before I commit to higher rates and the whole DAC thing. To be cont'd ...

Yeah, I downloaded it but haven't had a chance to really listen to it yet.
