I would like to say thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to vote, you certainly kept me busy. Thank you, too, to all those who were nominated, in recognition of their contributions to our group. It can be a rare thing to receive recognition from one's peers. If you find your name on this list, you have my congratulations and thanks.
This year's selection process was exciting because the top spots were changing daily. Before I get into the nominees I would like to share some of the comments about the members that were nominated. I wish I could have posted all of the comments that were left with each nomination but I picked a few that represented what a member of the year should possess.
"I vote for Avionic. Dave is a man of few words. Never starts an argument, doesn't bicker or fight. Perhaps he gets overlooked because he doesn't chat a lot. But when a person needs some technical help he is there, over and over again, year after year. He helps a lot of people without any drama, and I respect him"
"My nomination is lini (Manfred from Munich)There are quite a few others that come to mind who have been so kind and helpful, but since I'm limited to voting for just one, lini checks all the boxes. Here's why: I have known lini from the very beginning of my association with AK in 2007. He was then, and continues to be, super helpful and just a really good guy to interact with. He knows a ton about many things, especially AT cartridges , and has an engineer's understanding of how most things "audio" work. He shares his knowledge in a way that provides encouragement and support. His tone is NEVER harsh or demeaning, always kind and respectful, and you just know he's doing his level best to be of assistance. I'm always heartened when he joins the discussion.....way to go, amigo, you done good!!!"
"I wish to nominate Wyn Palmer for our 2023 Member Of The Year. He has been a great instructor on design of phono preamps on our pages, and more than patient with some members that felt they knew more than he did! Always patient, like a good grandfather, a consumate gentleman engineer, and the perfect selection for 2023. Good luck, Wyn!"

"I would like to nominate Markthefixer. He has been the #1 guru in the Pioneer forum for many years. His knowledge is amazing, and he shares it in a way that all can learn from. Unfortunately he has been in the hospital for 5-6 months. He has still been helping people from his hospital bed, up until a few weeks ago. I'm concerned he might not recover from this and would like to honor him while he's still with us."
