yeah I got here in 2006, several members I really liked, even one who'd been a guest at my house working on the 2205 I had (Gregory) is gone. so I actually knew one, and it felt like I knew several of the others. I miss their contributions to the site, I even saw the news reports on kegger, when that horrible tragedy happened, the only thing that scares me more is I may be in this thread one day..........I just hope it's really long time from now.
there was a thread here some years ago, it was a link to a CL Ad run by a guys wife selling off all his gear after he passed and someone here said "we are gonna all end up a Craigslist ad, and even though I know it was said as a bit of dark humor, that line echos through my head from time to time when I am in the audio room and I look at my gear, my lp's , cd's , reel tapes and yes.....8 tracks.....it really puts a lot of the day to day into perspective.
R.I.P to all the great Ak'ers who have sadly left. I hope they all knew they'd be missed.
