We call it "Reverse Snobbery" around here, and you pretty much nailed it.

While you audiophiles have been arguing the use of the word back and forth online, I've spent the day cooking out burgers and home made fries, napping in the sun in the hammock, spending time out with the cat, playing with some science projects, enjoying some kick back, and am now on the way out to watch the bats come out, after a bowl of ice cream.

If I had been one of those nutcase audiophiles, I would have missed out on a nice day outside. Just sayin'.

Must be nice! Was 105 heat index here, yet among all the AK banter, I did yard work and worked on my truck. Still had time for a couple albums, and a college baseball game!

Duck Dynasty marathon going on here. Say, why do all the guys have beards? Some kind of weirdo 'phile' cult?:scratch2:

I had a great day in the New Orleans sun boiling crawfish and cruising motorcycles.

[Superampman]

I just saw a table on Duck Dynasty that looks just like that.

Internet definitions aside, "lovers of music" more than likely could care less about the "quality of sound" about which an Audiophile is so peculiarly passionate.

I refuse to describe anyone as being an audiophile because it is one of those words that has become so "blurred" as to describe nothing. (I leave it to individuals to use for themselves....hopefully they know when they've earned it and feel sorry for them if they use it to describe themselves openly!)
