Audiotech Massachusetts USA Audio Manufacturer -- anyone know them?

Hello,

I have a couple of Acoustech components: a power amplifier and preamp. The power amp uses 1/4" jacks for input (perhaps progear?) The knobs look McIntosh-like but not a match. It isn't Stereotech. The power-plug looks almost Fisher-like in shape but has an "AT" in the recessed circle where the Fisher Songbird would be. If I had to guess I would say the equipment were made around 72-75. They seem nicely made. There is a cryptic output on the preamp that indicates "Audiotech X". Coutd it be a crossover output?

No pictures -- yet. No paperwork at all. Haven't opened them yet.

The company, Acoustech (according to the attached label) was/is based in Massachusetts. I am stumped as well as my audio equipment and repair friends. I have Google'ed and Bing'ed for a few hours. I've searched the 'bay (including completed listings) and the 'list for the Boston area. Nothing -- not a picture nor a page. I seem to get a lot of hits for Audio-Technica (duh) and Marantz for whatever reason.

I am getting more info from the components but I thought I would start here.

Thank you

Solved! Thank you very much to everyone who looked and replied. The amp and preamp are Acoustech (my mistake) my memory is failing me.

These two are the Acoustech Mk Ia (power) and the MK VI (pre). These must be older than I thought they were.

Now I'm off to get a proper education on this gear.

Thanks again!
