In general, a machine of that age will require replacement or restoration or rubber parts, treatment of switches and controls with Caig DeoxIT D5, and lubrication of motor(s) and capstan. Also, greases will have changed into bubble gum in many crucial locations -- and must be removed. Because of the age, expect it will need a tube or two. Also, don't be surprised if electrolytic capacitors in the power supply have failed.
