Auto Thread Subscription - turned off?

Dear Mod,

I thought I had posted here long ago, but apparently my recent 4 or so posts this week are it.

Every other forum/board I've ever joined has a default setup such that as soon as you post to a thread, you are automatically subscribed to that thread, and any subsequent updated posts will shoot you an email, with a handy link, such that you know there has been an additional post. Either that is not the case with this site, or I have inadvertently turned that function off.

How do I turn that back on? I don’t see how in “User CP” area.

Or do you have to pay for that function?

Go to User CP at the top left of the page, then down to Settings & Options, Edit Options.

In the center of that page is the section labeled: Messaging and Notification, and in that section is Default Thread Subscription Mode. Mine is set to Instant Email Notification.

Yours may be set to something else.
