Automatic systems and reliability

OK.I am looking for an automatic tt and would like some more information about the various systems .For example now I am watching four turntables , from wich two have sensors for light thru the mat to detect the dimension of the record and the speed A Mitsubishi built ITT8015 and a Technics SL-Q33 . The Mitsubishi has some light bulbs inside to detect the position of the tonearm wich can burn in time and must be replaced .The Technics has this too ?
Also I am watching a SL-D3 and a Universum /Telefunken/Sanyo Q/Siemens rw wich I don't know how does operate .
Some ideas of the most reliable ?

Well as a given rule the more automation the more that can fail. Of course after 30+ years this can be an issue if the tables hasn't been maintained well and or serviced. Then the fact service parts might not be available.

However one should look at tables individually as to there condition and judge on what your buying now and not what may happen later.

Hears a cool table and I would imagine many around today could have issues and be finiky, but the one I got needs nothing but to just put a record on it.

Pioneer PL- 88FS, The only thing it doesn't have is a Remote Control.

Of course , these are things that I know .I expect some more tecnical oppinions from those who studied these inside.
If it would be after me A full mechanical adjusted ,cleaned and lubed by a pro is best .But this comes with a price that I can't afford to pay now,and think maybe I get a lucky find .But I' want to hunt someting lower in price not fully mechanical

Yes, see the photo sensor - left, beside the tone arm.

You should have a look at the owner's manual and the service manual.

Yep , I think I 'll better go with a SL-D3 More classical , less sensors , and lightbulbs ,less trouble

The D3came a week ago. After a bit of cleaning , it works flawlessly. Sounds amazing with the Benz
