Bartertown has great values -- less the anxiety of other sites I have used in the past. Felt comfortable dealing with a proven member who knows how to pack audio gear.

They key to packing is finding a sturdy double walled box-wrap your componet up in large bubble wrap a foam piece top and bottom-and stuff the rest of the space with tightly packed newspaper/packing paper. No shifting is the key.
I never bought into the double box thing for most items-a doble thickness/double wall box when tightly packed works just as well-and doesn't add needless weight. However they are hard to find-and Paul got one of my last ones!
Of course this is only appliciable to item under 60-65lbs. Heaver items, or MC glass dial/etc would need some sort of inner container-or even better try to find a original shipping box/container.
