Aux not working, what causes that ? C31V

Infinity nutcase.
I love this preamp and when I bought it he told me Aux 2 wasn’t working, Aux 1 was but only on the left side so I’m curious what causes them to fail and can they be fixed ?

OK

1) do you have same troubles with same input with remote ?
2) it is coming from glue fixing the iron plate touching the pcb and made some bad connections . You need to delete completely the front panel + front pcb to get access to the good area

Thank you clinic-audio for being so detailed here. I don’t think I have the talent required to handle this. I’d love to give it a go but I seem to get in more trouble when I start popping hoods…lol. But it seems like, at least from what I’ve read this is a pretty common problem with these preamps.

I didn’t try from the remote, did know I could do that but if mine looks like those pictures maybe it better not too. I made a call today to Audio Classics, if things work out then I might give this a try, but not until I have the other one here. I do truly appreciate your response. If I do go for it, I’ll be sure to post pics and maybe you can scrutinize for me.

Thank you again .

Clinic-audio, I’m thinking about trying this. Once I get it down to that point, how do I fix the damaged areas, it looks like more than cleaning. If the traces on the board are grounding out, would I clean them then add something like electrical tape over them to insulate them ? And is it possible to remove that metal strip ? To perform the repair.

Thank you,
