My jaw has put a hole in the floor. Robert Downey Jr as Dr. Doom is a game changer, he absolutely owns the character forget Ironman. There are trailers to be seen on YouTube. It is implied in the trailers Dr. Doom controls the Multiverse. What Dr. Doom does to Thanos, damn! Dr. Doom does not have superpowers like Spiderman, but he is a mage sorcerer of a level that makes Dr. Strange look like an amatuer. In some of the inside the studio leaked info Deadpool is something of an enforcer in the Multiverse, we will see. But this has the vibes we used to see back when Marvel was actually producing movies to look forward too. It is interesting to see that Marvel Studios is using AI on these trailers.

I watched the trailers and I still have issues seeing Robert Downey Jr portray Dr. Doom. Downey Jr's life history and persona aligned so well with Marvel's Tony Stark that it's going to take some time for me to get used to this new character portrayal.
 
I'm not the comic book guy, but the one I talked to said there is comic-based backstory to Iron Man being Dr. Doom. Not sure if that's Multiverse related shenanigans or what, but the casting may also have to do with story line?

There is...but later "modern" issues brought that into Doom's storyline.
