AW-3 changing spindle

Hi,

I have a DUAL-1214 turntable that I bought 2nd hand half a year ago.
It came with a spindle adapter/changer, AW-3 and the problem is that
the 45s don't drop. I opened the metal pin and cleaned it, but the problems remains the same.

Anyone suggestions? Buying a new one is expensive online. I live in Ottawa, ON.

Could the problems be the turntable and not the pin?

I don’t think that the AW3 LP spindle will work with 45s with spindle hole adapters. There is a separate 45 stacker (AW1?) for 45s without hole adapters. I have both and they work on my 1209s, 1214, and 1215S.
