I am currently using these speakers as my main speakers. Whats your opinion on these? Are they good speakers? To me, they sound nice and clear with a good amount of bass. I am Playing these through a Reference: 450R by Quadraflex (Pacific Stereo) Stereo Receiver, and a Nakamichi CR-2A Cassette Deck.

They should be pretty decent, and if you like them that is what really matters. Could you upload any pics, and any technical information you may have? I have about 6 various pairs made by BIC, they are common here. I probably have $60 or so total I paid for the lot, a couple pairs were given to me. They all seem well made and decent sounding.
 
I went to highschool with daughter of the (then) president of BIC. She still makes speakers focusing on ATMOS systems and sold a patent of hers to HSU Research.
My friend absolutely loved that model speaker, he had better but always loved those and kept going back to them.
 
Resurecting an old thread because i am enjoying a pair of BIC Venturi V630's with a BIC America F12 Sub and i am blown away by what i hear. I know the towers are fair to midland for the most part and sub is on the cheap side, but the quality of sound is undeniable. Any $220 sub that reaches for 25hz, and delivers like this one does, is good in my book. Think im gonna enjoy this pairing for a while through my Yamaha CA810 Integrated. Please shout out if you have had good luck with BIC speakers.
 
Haha ... you seem to be resurrecting several threads from the dead!

They are nice looking .. you should post pics. I doubt if their newer stuff will get tons of love here but who cares? If they sound great to you, that's all that matters no matter the brand!
 
Looked up the BIC Acoustech PL 980. can't imagine they sound bad. ,$700 a pair. I'm betting I would show them love. Nice that these are kinda sleeper speakers. I'm gonna keep listening.
