B&K 600 Tube Tester

Hi all,
I won a B&K 600 tube tester at the you know where site, and need to replace the
electrolytic's in the tester. At Mouser I found some caps which are 250uf 6 volt and
the 5uf but the 5uf is a 450volt not the original 250volt. Would that be okay for the
tester?

Thanks

The voltage rating of a capacitor is a maximum.

It's just like tire speed ratings. If you install "Z" rated tires on your car, you don't *have* to drive at 140MPH.

Thank you all for the help, it should be here by Saturday I heard good things about
the B&K testers so I hope this works out.

The tester came in the mail today a day early, I didn't think it was that small but it's
good. I changed the two electrolytic's 5uf and the 250uf (which in the schematic says
it's a 250uf but it's a 200uf on the back of the meter) Problem?? I chacked some of the
resistors and seem ok but I'll change them to carbon film. I also would like to clean the
switches and push down controls, what do you guy's use to clean them they look pretty
black from age???
