Please advise on the value of a B&K Reference 5 S2 preamplifier. This model has stereo-only XLR & RCA outputs. Remote is included. It also has a built in tuner but no phono stage.
I believe this is a renamed version of their previous PT5 model with a different faceplate design.
I've seen prices for their A/V processors (7 or 5 channel) from about the same timeframe, and they are generally $200 or less.
Any experiences you could share would also be welcome - I've found reports of mediocre or good tuner performance on the PT3 and PT5, generally good impressions of the older B&K preamps, but little about the later (last?) B&K equipment.
