B&K ST125.2 power-off thump

Be willing to fail and try again.
Please forgive me if this is a noob question, but I'm relatively new to DIY repairs on audio gear, and most of my experience s basic cap replacements on tube amps.

I have a B&K ST125.2 amplifier, which I think sounds very nice indeed, especially with my current-hungry Thiel CS2 speakers. I don't notice any problems with it, generally, other than that there is a very audible thump from the speakers as the amp powers off. Is this a common issue, and is there a relatively easy fix?
Has anyone done any work on this amp in the past and can provide some input/guidance?

I'm also considering replacing the power supply capacitors since this thing is getting on towards 20 years old. If anyone can weigh in on the necessity/benefit of that, I would be grateful.
