B&O M75 woofer replace with the S75 woofer?

The 10” woofer of my M75 has some friction going up&down it’s voice coil. I’m thinking of just buying a S75 woofer to replace it. I can’t find any M75 drivers.

Or... recone? I can’t find any kits, so I’m not sure where to get the voice coil.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pull the woofer and give us some pics, including any SEAS driver model numbers as B&O used a lot of SEAS drivers. The M75 May work if dimensionallly the same but best to confirm the driver’s model number if possible.

You can sometimes find more B&O woofers on EBay UK or Europe and then ask sellers if they would ship to US.

If you rotate your running woofer 189 degrees, you might get some improvement on the coil rub, but if that doesn’t work, you may need the spider rebuilt. Depending on where you are, AK member @GordonW or Bill Miller at Millersound May be able to help. Good luck!
 
Check out speakerguy2002 on eBay, he has three (!) pairs of S75 woofers for sale right now.
