B&W 330i Tweeter Problem

I've acquired a set of B&W 330i speakers for my living room and need some help. The speakers sound great, but one of the tweets a B&W TP26 is dead. I'm not sure how to find another working unit as they appear to be pretty rare, or if repairs can be made.

If none of the above are possible, I'm thinking of creating a 'clone' speaker. My thought is to blank off the hole and mount a more up to date 8 ohmn tweeter from a B&W 805 on the top of the speaker. Any advice on where I can buy a TP26 or update is much appreciated, thanks.

Depends on how much you want to pay and how long you want to search. Looks to me as if you can buy one immediately for $64 here: http://bwgroupsupport.com/parts/partslist-bw There were some listed on ebay and elsewhere for much less in past years. 330i is relatively uncommon it seems but I have a pair and know of at least one other set in this area. Thanks. Looks like B&W support is better in the States than Europe. I've got blanks from the company here. Most traders will sell, but for some reason won't ship to Germany. I look up your link and see if I can 'make it happen'. Thank you.

The good news is that I've managed to find one in the UK... and some modern replacements. I'm going to see what condition the replacement unit is like (amazingly two years older than the one I have) and have ordered a couple of single tweeters from an audio company in Holland. While I'm waiting I'm going to clean the cabinets inside and out, and make any repairs so they're good to go. It's fun playing with the older stuff as it's simple and well made. A downside is the hunt for parts!
