Why am I thinking this is a deal?

I have an excellent set of Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) 804 Matrix loud speakers for sale. These speakers have been used as a secondary pair in one of my company's mastering suites for the past seven years. We are selling as we are moving up to another set of Dunlavy's. These are excellent mid-level mastering speakers and awesome home speakers with a good amplifier. We had this amp paired with a Classe monoblock and the results were impressive. I am asking $1000 for the pair. This includes the speakers, grilles, and original boxes.

According to this thread:

going rate was around that in 2009, probably lower now. Not such a hot deal I think.

EDIT:
For reference, a pair with 1 bad tweeter just sold for $600 on ebay. The ones you're looking at sound like they're in excellent condition (boxes too) but that means maybe $800, not $1k.

The Matrix 804's are great speakers. I listen to mine every night. They sound great with every amp I've tried them with. Everything from little Magnavox tube amps to Conrad Johnson's.
