B&W DM-2"s via Marantz 2245?

Hi folks,

Brand new to this forum, and to the world of HI-FI and vintage audiophile gear more specifically, and seeking advice.

1) I currently own a Marantz 2245 (Upgraded from 2215b -> to 2225 > to current 2245). This 2245 suddenly lost audio output and is now in the shop for diagnostics/repairs so cannot test.

2) I may have in the meantime impulsively purchased a pair of first generation B&W DM-2"s locally.. such a reasonable price for a classic audiophile speaker... they may or may no be in my home waiting for an amp...

3) Am I screwed in terms of the Marantz (2245) driving the DM-2"s? Will this amp be sufficient is my question I guess, or should I seek out the 2270? The DM-2"s are rated at 86 db sensitivity is what I'm noticing. Should I be concerned?

i have owned many pairs of dm-2 units ,being a transmission line speaker and being English you can never go wrong,i guess the marantz will run them well ,
but never owned a marantz amp ,but you have got some sweet speakers , well done!

i had a look at your amp specs and 45watts will be ok to rum the dm-2 units but at loud volumes you might want a bit more head room ,
i used my ones as rears and my meters never showed more then 5watts out of the 200watts in reserve ,but you may love very loud music lol
