Hi AK members,
this is my first post here. I have to say that english is not my first langage so please be indulgent.
First, my set-up:
Sansui AU-7900 (fully recapped few weeks ago)
Bryston 2B LP power amp
Cambridge Aero 2 speakers
Technics SL-1200 with Ortofon blue cartridge. (Yeah i'm 95% vinyl)
As you can see, the Cambridge is the weakest part of my set-up. I have the opportunity to buy two different vintage B&W speakers. Both are originals. A pair of DM-220 and a pair of MD-6.
Do you think that one of these will be an upgrade ?
Actually, i use the AU-7900 as a preamp hooked to the Bryston, Since it has been fully recapped, maybe the Sansui would sound better alone ???
I'd like to have your opinion on the B&W speakers paired with the Sansui, or the Sansui + Bryston....
Hope that someone here has experience with this kind of set-up...
Thanks
