B&W DM-640 Speakers questions...

Hello!

I have a Pioneer sx-1080 hooked up to a pair of B&W dm-12 speakers.

They work great and have been for years.

Now I inherited my fathers Pioneer sx-1250.

I have this guy who is selling a pair of B&W dm-640 speakers for 500$cad (roughly 390$usd)

Do the dm-640's pair well with a Pioneer sx-1250?
Are the dm-640's a good set of speakers to hook up to my Pioneer sx-1250?

Or are there better options at the 400$usd range?

I've owned DM640's, My ex GF ended up with them.

Nice speaker, would work well with the SX.

Probably worth more in the 275-300 range.

I went a little crazy with mine and blew out the tweeters and one woofer.

Upgraded to Vifa "Ring Radiator" tweeters and bought another woofer off ebay.

Big upgrade in sound and the tweets were only 50$ pr.
