Hey all. I’m considering purchasing some DM3000’s. I’ve heard some really great things about them on this site and others. I’m hoping to get more feedback on just how good they are before I pull the trigger. I have a nice collection of vintage speakers now (KEF 107, DQ 10, Aerial 10’s, BW 604) and just picked up some JBL L5’s which I really like. From what I’ve read they should “best” most of those. I’m switching between a Pioneer SX-1010 and a Sansui G9000. I can probably get them for around $500. Thanks everyone!!

I think your going to really like them. I use to own a pair but ended up selling because my space was to small for them. They can take alot of power. Very solid construction and the drivers are well built. They don't have a very deep base but more of a hard strong base. Beautiful tweeter.
Ya -sold these back in the day and they were one of my favorite speakers in the store. I really like the fabric dome tweeter B&W used then - I think these have the APOC circuit/system which basically made them head banger proof -so less likely to be blown out. Butyl rubber surrounds so foam rots a non-issue. They are not terribly efficient and need a decent high current amp to push them. Not a crank it speaker -but will play loud enough for jazz or classical music and most rock -just not at concert levels. Wood finishes were very nice.
I have a pair. Love them with the right equipment. They can sound big and ponderous with the wrong preamp in my experience. However, with my little Audire Legato, they get up on their toes and become nimble. I'm using an old VA Systems power amp.
