BA-2000 Diodes

I'm looking at the F-2661 board and I see that DO1 & DO2 are physically larger but look similar to DO3 & DO4.

The schematic lists them all as VD1212s and the actual board has the double diode symbols for all four as well. For VD1212 I would use a pair of in series 1N4148s.

The parts list shows DO3 & DO4 as VD1212 and DO1 & DO2 as 1S1588/1S2473D which seems to support what is presently on the board. For 1S1588/1S22473D I would use a single 1N4148.

Should I assume that DO1/2 are indeed single diodes regardless of what the schematic and symbols on the board show?

I just realized that DO5-14 look nothing like DO1 & DO2 even though they're all listed as 1S1588/1S2473Ds. Unless someone corrects me, I'll go with DO1 & DO2 being varistors and replace with 2X 1N4148s.

Perhaps you could post pictures of what is in there now, (key information) or what you removed and from where - one look at this information should allow our knowledgeable readers to direct you correctly. ;)

("knowledgeable readers" - I might even be one myself :scratch2: :D )

The voltage drop was around 1.2 for both types. That's too high for a single diode, isn't it?

Thanks. I want to be sure to get this right.

Sounds familiar to me.

The Sansui service manuals sure are dodgey. I'm definitely developing trust issues with them.
