BA A200 vs Goodmans Magna K - Speaker Decisions

Hello, while I appreciate these sets of speakers aren't really like for like with limited funds I'm having to make a call on one of the two sets (roughly the same price). I've always wanted a pair of A200s (listen to a broad range of music) and have a track on a pair locally. Simultaneously, a pair of Goodmans (fully recapped with Audyn Capacitors) just came on line nearby as well. It's hard to get a full sense of the latter pair but they seem to be early (60/70's) and have an Axiom bass driver.

Any feedback on either would be appreciated!

Also, I understand that while the A200's benefit from a little more power, they sound delightful with even something as modest as input from a Marantz 1060, any thoughts?

I know this isn't particularly helpful, but since they're both local to you, why don't you go listen to both and decide for yourself? No one else can really tell you what you'll prefer any better than you can discover for yourself by hearing them. What other people might like better may not be what you would decide. Speakers are too different to defer to others' judgments, I think. I know, not what you asked, but there you have it . . .

I had the Goodman Magnum K speakers. I had Wharfdale Dovedale III's at the same time — the Dovedales were magnificent and are seen by many here on AK as Vintage UK "Grails".

The Magnums were better.

Thanks for the comments, and yes johnebravo, the value is in the ear of the listener. By local I mean one set's a ferry ride away, while the other's an hour drive so it's all relative. With the whole distancing side of things it makes it a little tough too. But always best to demo!

I'll see if i can get my hands on those Magnums for a little less than his current as I'm super curious and have read a great deal about their virtues!
