Bad AK User Names selected by newbies

If somebody wanted to change their username, it is as simple as sending a pm to yours truly, along with the desired change.

robots can still have easy to remember names:

robbie
bender
rosie
robocop
marvin
that robot dog off Battlestar Galctica

Nice avatar, that's what I want for Christmas!

What....you want a new avatar for Christmas or OP's avatar. I'm confused. :D

Anyway, back to the subject of this thread I identify a lot easier without the numbers for user ID's. But quite frankly it's funny how some of your user names get all scrambled in my head. For example, the first time I ran across Ernie's user name of Luvvinvinyl. For some reason my wacked out brain saw it as LuLuvinyl. Don't ask me how or why.:dunno: It just did. :screwy: Sorry LV.
Has that ever happened to any of you with certain user names?

Have you noticed a lot of guys are picking names like this when they sign up to AK:

KK3456

****GG...

WUMP777b
Ok, I'm making these up, but when people pick names like this, there is no handle to address them when you respond.

If you have a good name like Zenith_Fan or Jimmy012, then I can post a reply that says "Hey Jimmy, nice score".

But when their name is "ZB***897", I've got like no name to use.

Do we need to coach newbies on selecting good user names ?

Just askin. Cheers, Snade

By the way, "Snade" was my favorite uncle's nickname.

I've been here longer then you!

Well, YOU can call me Ray, or YOU can call me Jay, but you doesn't has to call me "Johnson"...

You can call ME Ray. I hated those commercials when they were on. I was in jr. high and I got that all the time. Yeesh.

As for the topic at hand, I was thinking of changing my name to RW1138 just for fun.

Ray (formerly spkrdood, soon to be RW1138?)

Most people refer to me as x. And just as an FYi it is lower case folowed by a _ not a space. you would not belever how many times people refer to me as X 25. Also, story behind my handle is that it is my squadren number from when I playes X-wing vs. Tie fighter.

Thats my story and i'm sticking too it.

Seriously, it's a good thing you mentioned this... because to me, I know "x 25" as a computer wide area network protocol!

I think I did good....people call me Vinyl, dMac, RARELY David.....

What about THX1138....I remember that.

I thought Rex Everything was much more exciting than Rex Nothing or Rex Somthings so I went with it.

:D

Some call me...Tim?
