Thank you for all the suggestions, guys!
At the end I went with adding a 6g headshell weight. This balanced the tonearm and I was able to set it.

I bought the coupling rubber collar which was described as suitable for the tonearm. No idea how different it is compared to the original one as it has dissolved almost completely.
What is important is that at the end I have a fully restored and greatly performing TD125 mk2. I recapped the boards and replaced the trimpots, installed a new Thakker belt and refurbished the housing.
Quite happy with the result!
