I was reading there was a Skid Row back in the late 60's early 70's that included Gary Moore and Phil Lynott. Irish band of course. In the 80's we had Skid Row that had Sebastian Bach. Now there is a fight over the name. http://ultimateclassicrock.com/jon-bon-jovi-questioned-by-irish-skid-row-co-founder-over-band-name-dispute/
I have thought about this. Maybe I dont see things the way other do. But after all these years...both bands have been out of the loop...one longer then the other and now one of the original band members is now complaining? And is the Original Skid Row really Skid Row since Gary and Phil is no longer with us?
As for all that goes lets throw in Guns n Roses. Is Guns really guns without most of the original band not there? Or is it a Axl Rose Guns n Roses Tribute band. I think Axl is a tool anyways. Slash, Duff and Matt didnt go out and say they were Guns N Roses...even though Axl owns the name. But the three os them would have been more of GnR then Axl alone.
Led Zeppelin didnt go on without Bonham. Page and Plant did do a couple of recordings together...but didnt call themselves Zeppelin.
Def Leppard has lost a member but they are still Leppard. Still doing great. They stood behind Steve and Rick when they were down.
Lynyrd Skynyrd. They went on without half the band...but they did bring in another Van Zant. Not much left to that band either. Are they Skynyrd now? It was a huge tragedy what happened.
