'Bang for my Buck' 15" PA Subwoofer Driver?

hey guys

Looking for a 'best bang for my buck', 15" subwoofer driver, to be fit into a custom built sealed cab..
Been looking around, tbh, i usually shop on ebay. But ebay seams full of junk like SoundLab.. all with terrible reviews, or woofer drivers that are £200+ haha.

Im after a 15", doesnt matter if its 4 or 8 ohm tbh. Preferably under £100.. thats pretty respectable sound and power rating... (in the UK)

In other words... Something half decent, for cheapest possible...
After all, I just have a PA rack mount setup for home/hobby, Not doing disco's etc etc..

Also.. while on the subject...
Does it have to be a PA style paper cone woofer driver?
Or can it just be a car subwoofer kind of style driver?
As i do have a Pyle Pro 15" Dual Voice Coil, Car woofer sitting around...

Start with the maximum size of the cabinet and work backwards on picking a driver. Most "car audio" drivers are optimized for smaller cabinets and usually sealed alignments. "Pro audio" drivers are usually optimized for large ported cabs and much more efficient. And then there are horn-loaded subs...

It is very helpful to have the T/S parameters for the driver and a modelling program such as WinISD so you can play around with driver choices, cabinet sizes, and tunings.

The Pyle might work just fine for home use in a properly sized and tuned cabinet...the price is right :)

I'm in Florida so I can't help much with suggesting what you can find locally.
