Bang & Olufsen B&O Beogram TX2 Tangential Turntable

Hello, I just bought a Bang & Olufsen B&O Beogram TX2 Tangential Turntable. The carrage that the tone arm is mounted to has a "string" that moves the carage back and forth. On mine, during the "imfamos shipping" the carrage string came disconnected and I have no clue on how the string "routing" goes. Does anyone have a diagram on how the string is routed? PLEASE help so I can find out if the Mmc 4 cartridge is good or not. Thanks a ton guys, Michael....:scratch2:

Thanks so so much for that site, about the best Turntable site I've seen.. A HUGE help... It has EXACTLY what I was looking for ! Very happy.... Thanks a ton.. Mjc...

I have the same issue, just picked one up and the little string is disconnected. I can't tell from the service manual how it routes, can you help a brother out?

Enjoy the table. I love mine. Go to Sound-smith.com (no affiliation) and dig pretty deeply on the site to find some info on checking out your MMC-4 cartridge.

I purchased my TX2 brand new all the way back in '88 I think and I still use it most every day. I put the $150 Sound Smith cartridge in it at the beginning of the year and it's a fine performer. Good pick-up, enjoy your table.
