Bang & Olufsen Beogram 3400 (no power!!) HELP PLEASE!!

I have a Bang & Olufsen Beogram 3400 that worked perfectly
One day I was changing a record and then just like that, it was dead.
No lights, no movement, nothing. It was as if it was unplugged.
I tried multiple sources of electricity and still, it was dead.
Does anyone have any recommendations or resources?

Sorry to hear, that's a great piece of kit. Can't help with your issue, but I do know that SoundSmith repairs/refurbishes Bang & Olufsen. I would talk to them if someone on AK can't help out.

So here's what I found out...not that it makes much sense.
1) I thought that perhaps the "Switched Power Supply" on the back of the vintage stereo was bad...
so I plugged it directly into the wall in a receptacle that I tested for power, No Luck
2) I thought that perhaps it could be the ground through the stereo. So I grounded it directly to the wall receptacle. No luck
3) I took the back/bottom off to check the fuse as Montycat had recommended. I checked it with a VOM meter. It was good. Thank God because that was one weird-looking fuse!!
4) I assembled everything again, this time the power came on. BUT when I removed the ground and went to connect it back where it was, it turned off. But then when I connected it back to the stereo as originally set up, it worked.
~~ I have no idea why it's working nor why it stopped. I'm just happy that it's working well at the time.
