Bang & Olufsen RX2 loses left channel intermittently??

Just picked up a B&O RX2 with a MMC5 cartridge and it loses the left channel intermittently. I've done the cartridge checks, switching the RCA plugs, flipping the cartridge upside down and supposedly it's not the cartridge but...what is it???? Is it the RCA plugs? A loose wire in the tone arm? a loose connection somewhere in the RCA plug wires? Something else?

What should I look for now? What is my next step? Should I replace the plugs? Replace the plugs and wire? Is there somewhere or something I should look at inside the plinth or tone arm?

Any help would be much appreciated. When it's working it's awesome, but this off and on thing, is a bit frustrating.

Thanks

Can you check the cables for continuity with a meter? You will have to open it up to do this as there is no exposed wire at the headshell end. Wiggle the cables while doing this and it might show what's up.

Also it could be the internal muting switch.

THANKS!!

I think I'll start at the RCA plugs and work my way back. Hopefully I'll find the fault before I have to open it up. I'm just hoping it's not a loose wire in the tone arm itself.
