Bass Traps & Diffusers

This is my room. The room and the stuff in it isn't going to change. I'm interested in making the most of what I've got to work with. Treating the room is going to happen in increments. The cabinets on each side of the speakers are problematic but there they are. I'm not sure where to start with phase 1. Should I get 48" or 60" corner bass traps for the corner area between the cabinets and wall or should I focus on first reflection points?

Listening my primary issue seems to be with clean bass extension. It's not too bad but there seems to be some interference and with some recordings it can get a little messy.

Does your receiver have any kind of room analysis or mic?

In the past, I had a setup similar to yours. Same issue with bass and nowhere to move anything really limited my options. Luckily, the Yamaha receiver I had at the time had YPAO room correction and it significantly improved things.

I think my problem was due to the two subs being so close together.
