Bay Area, Calif.: Tech Recommendations Sought

[Njord Noatun]

I need recommendations for a qualified tech in the Bay Area to service a "monster" vintage (1979) receiver.

The unit is located in Concord, Contra Costa County (East Bay).

Thanks for any pointers or recommendations. :thmbsp:

Sertech down in San Jose is good. But up that way you might ask Robisme.

I recall hearing of tek/s in berkly area but dont know who. sorry. been to sertech's in SJ. He's a tiny hole-in-wall shop but a dedicated guy. going rates apply. not had him fix anything for me , just used his place as a meeting place to pik up some min 7 spkrs. beware of his partners breath!!!!! it'll desolve concrete.

I lived in SF for 22 years....

I am also fairly new to vintage but I have heard every now and then good things about this place in Berkeley....

It makes sense....with the Berkeley mentality I am not surprised...

Sorry I can't give you anymore info...
