BBC Radio 3 Proms 2019 - HELP!

For many years I have been a "Promenader". For a variety of reasons I decided not to get a season ticket this year.
I have set up an Amp, a FM Tuner and Speakers in my living room (Quad 33/303, FM3 and ESL-57).
For the past two nights I have been plagued by hiss and crackles on quiet passages.
Sadly I am only able to use an indoor FM dipole ribbon antenna.
During the day today I experimented with a couple of FM tuners (FM3 and a Sony).
What I have discovered is that if I tune to 91.25 rather than 91.3 the stereo light goes out and the hiss and crackle is significantly reduced. I would if possible rather listen in Stereo rather than Mono.
Can anyone suggest a cause and hopefully a solution?
If push comes to shove I am prepared to buy a DAB Tuner but I get the impression that the sound is significantly degraded as a result of bandwidth limitations - is this still true?

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Based on advice from elsewhere, As an experiment I am now looking at the "Majority Fitzwilliam Hi-Fi Tuner" at £70 which offers DAB, DAB+, FM and Internet Radio.

That way I will with one device be able to compare DAB, Internet Radio and FM (Stereo and Mono) . . . more to follow later in the week

I see it is less than 100 pounds in the United Kingdom, not available here from what I see. Sure seems to have a lot of ways to listen! On the Amazon web site in the UK it got decent reviews, so I would give it a shot! Let us know how you like it!
