I know some here shun this kind of gear but I like this thing.I like what it does to my vintage system.Not just an EQ,It's a bit hard to describe exactly what it does.According to bbe it corrects phase differences in the drivers.
What I hear is more clarity in the highs and a bit of shimmer.The mids are more to the front and the bass has more authority.
Only two dials on the thing and one should use them sparingly.My AR2ax's really sound incredible when lightly dialed in with this device.L-36 JBL's also benefit. Mind you the system sounded good without it but now theres more of everything.I'm not schilling for BBE,just reviewing there product.
This little desktop model has the same circuitry as the rack mount but smaller package. There's no feet on it but no big deal,I bought some stick-on rubber feet from Ace. For 60 clams you can't go wrong,although I see it went up to 99 in the last few days.
I may try it on my tube system but that really doesn't need any help although it should be interesting.
