Beat up garage sale speakers, worth saving?

I'm in charge of the electronics section of a charity garage sale tomorrow, and these speakers were some of the more noteworthy donations....at least to me as an AK'er. They're quite beat up looking, but the drivers seem to be in good shape here's a couple of cellphone pics:

I also found a pair of BIC Venturi speakers

Are they worth snagging, even though the cabs are in very rough shape?

The ESS are definitely worth snagging. The BIC's are decent, but I'd grab those ESS speakers ASAP!!! Those tweeters are absolutely amazing to listen to. Just google "AMT tweeter" and do a little reading.

It's a mark, looks like a planned modification.

I second snagging the ESS ones. Looks like someone updated the woofer on those. They are definitely the weak links on them along with the x-overs.​

I have a pair of the ESS Model 8 and I love them. Baco99 refurbished them for me and he described them as "bass cannons!" I agree with him. Great separation and SQ.

I thought so at first, but to my recollection, Infinity always covers the voice coil leads with the dust cap (except the "bullet" caps)..

Looks like a Gefco woofer in the ESS. Maybe a Becker or Carbonneau.

Boto, I read some of your threads about your PS-8s when I was looking into buying my LS-8s. I guess I owe you a "thank you" for starting my appreciation for ESS AMT speakers.

I have never heard the model 5 series but the tweeters alone are worthy of a donation to the charity. I hope you ended up with them.
