Beautiful Cascade Mountains

Hello I’m a new member. My name is Jim. I live in a semi remote area of the cascades in south eastern Pierce county . I will introduce myself by naming the components I have in my two setups that I mix and match all the time. (My downfall is my speakers) I have 3 systems . A surround, a digital, and a analog. My amps are a Macintosh 452. A marantz 7705. Prima Luna dialogue tube.
Pre are a Mac c53, marantz 7710. I also have a oppo 105d and a 205. A Auralic streamer. Mytek DAc Brooklyn plus. VPI scout w/upgrades and a gold note pre. So I have a lot to play with. I’m still looking for the perfect sound. I could get in cords but I already know that argument. Um let’s see, oh speakers( yes my weak link) BnWs . I am going to go through these thread and start asking all kinds of questions as I need schooled. My music taste is all over from classical to classic rock. Die hard stones and Bowie freak here. Also CSNY, Byrd’s,Doors and Zeppelin. 70s FM radio is a fave. I grew up in the early 80s. I’m a CNC operator at Boeing. I do not own a Harley. I own stereos. Formats are Vinyl, one steps and mofi, SACD, CDs and Blu Ray n DVD audio. No tape. I’m a dog lover freak. My mum calls me St Francis

Welcome, Jim. I also live in a semi-remote area in the middle of about 80 acres of woodland. There’s much to be said for having your nearest neighbor 1/4 mile away.

You already have a very nice rig from what I can tell. Which model of B&W speakers are you running, and what direction were you considering moving in for an upgrade?
