Purchased a few albums out of Barter Town last week from Markshan. Being a new comer to the vinyl world I had been building my collection over the past few weeks. Not wanting to take chances on questionable vinyl I have been ordering M, NM or VG+ condition records. Thus far what has been coming in has not been what I would call VG+ or better. Not knowing exactly what the grading standards are for older records and thinking that maybe condition is a little subjective I chalked it up to this is the price you pay for a media that is fragile.
Today the LP's I ordered from from Markshan came in. He had them listed at VG+ for the media and the jacket. I wasn't expecting much when I opened them. Wow. Black shinny LP's in great shape and jackets with bright vibrant colors. This now has me thinking that all of those records I ordered from Discogs were over rated at best or dishonest sellers at worst.
