grado + pioneer =no hum!

My freshly rebuilt PL-630 (an excellent rebuild by AKer Richard P ) and Grado Black no hum and very nice sounding for the money!

Technics SL1600 Mk2 and Grado green - no hum. I tested this one before I sent it to my son and daughter in law with a Yamaha Cr-2020. Note that I always connect the ground wire from the TT to the receiver.

VPI HW-19-2(?), Souther SLA3 Triquartz, Grado ? ($300 in 1995)

No hum, never, with 5 different phono preamps.
